Imagery and Objectivity
By altering the physical make of these photographs, I intend to accentuate what they already are. By burning the physical objects I call attention to what they are composed of; chemicals on paper. Too often people forget how different a photograph of something is from the physical subject of the image. Yes, photography calls to back reality in a unique way, but a photograph will always be an independent object. Wire visually extends the images that lie on the paper into the world they exist in. There is no specific front or back to each piece as the work is about the physicality and context of "the object."
